Comments:I am trying to find information on a Jim Hayden that was killed by an indian attack near Salmon Idaho about 1885. He was something of a mystery man around Salmon and was thought to be a Civil War veteran. It is well documented that he got into a gunfight and killed a man on the streets of Salmon. My father who is 84 thinks he may have been a great uncle to him.

Comments:Forgot to say ~ my Aunt Iris was born in Bristol England ~ did a lot of research on the Haydens ~ she came across information that some of the Haydens were so named because of living near the Hadrian Wall ~ originally nicknamed the Hadians they were Roman Soldiers recruited from Sicily who were left behind when the Romans went home.
